Research and Inspiration for Autumn Winter 2010
This season key themes of nostalgia for her Swedish heritage and an underlying streak of melancholy inform the collection. Malm takes inspiration from the traditional costume of the Norwegian gypsies she grew up fascinated by, as well as her passion for theatre and the arts. Layering, transparency and long lines are the core aesthetic and elastic band accessories are used as belts and as fasteners on leather apparel, adding a naïve eccentricity to the collection.
